Ohla la la.
What better way to celebrate spring break than watching some Angry Beaver fan videos. You’re Welcome. Have a great day.

Honestly
I might still have some issues to work out with being gay. I’m not sure I ever felt comfortable with it. Believe me, I love being gay but the stereotypical culture that is attached to you for it is not something I agree with. There’s more to it then that. Perhaps another time.

Awww.
Friendship is when your straight buddy accompanies you to the adult bookstore to get condoms for your date that evening, wishing you a sincere good luck.
Note: I had forgotten all about this unpublished draft of a post, it’s from about 4 months ago. While the date mentioned fizzled, the friendship is still strong.

Not Gonna Happen This Time.
Dear Luke,
Please don’t fuck this up. You can rock this semester if you stick to it. I know there’s a lot to it- but, man, you gotta. You’re doing great so far.
Forever yours,
Luke

Peter Pan
I’m working on a project. Without going into any detail that might lead the responses I get I’m wondering what, if any, memories you have from your childhood of the Peter Pan story/mythology? Parts of the narrative that stick out to you? What version you remember loving the most? If you can identify any themes or messages you still carry with you that would be awesome.
I’d be grateful for anything you can offer!
Thanks!

face hair
I have a very odd relationship with my beard. It’s growing up. It’s now taking up 1/3 of my face. Sometimes it’s itchy. I feel like beards are becoming a revived trend, especially in the indie music scene. Let me just say that my beard was here before all that, is here now, and will be here for the foreseeable future.
No, Gina, I am not in an altered state right now.
I just love my beard.

I’m Busy!
I’m busy. I hate to say it, but at this point (even though I do love all of you who read this) I am more enjoying my life as it happens, and it’s happening at such a rapid pace that some things take a back seat – this blog being one of them.
The good news is that I’m having a fucking awesome start to the semester. I feel like I’m finally where I need to be. My expectations of where I should be and where I actually am are getting closer and closer. It feels awesome. I started flossing regularly, like every day. I never did that before. I’m rubbing elbows with some of the high ups in the theatre program. I’m taking a class that is, with the exception of 5 papers, simply going to see theatre performances. Sweet. I’m challenged by my classes but they’re still in a realm of interest to me, which seems like a new concept to me right now. Things are good. I hope the same for you. High fives all around.

Watch Out!
As a director, I imagine one of your most delicate challenges would be how to run the rehearsal process for “The Miracle Worker”. Do you actually blindfold the little girl playing Helen Keller so she gets the sense of no sight if she doesn’t act blind enough? What about ear plugs if her mumblings are too intelligible? Would she need to sign a release form making the theatre company not liable in case she ran into a chair or worse? How would you deal with her stage parents if they didn’t want her to come off as “too disabled”? Obviously, I have a lot to learn.
