The Exquisite Intervention

Sometimes a song hits me in a way where it has the power to make life worth every second and renew my whole, for lack of a better word, spirit.

There’s nothing like it.

I was in Espresso Royale Cafe today, reading the script of one of the other directors in the night of student directed plays and this song hit under the scene I was reading perfectly. Every rhythm had a purpose and every line of dialogue took me further into the truth of that story.

That energy is what I aspire to find for every script I read and it was just handed to me. Nothing is more awesome. Maybe you had to be there, maybe it’s only me who hears it, but that feeling is what I want to share as a stage director.

Here’s the song:

Bon Iver- The Wolves (Act I and II)
